Fly with Rick using our scooter tow winch system. Scooters are converted to stationary, ground based tow systems. The rear wheel is replaced by a spool that can hold up to 5000 feet of synthetic line. The line runs down the runway through a pulley and back towards the unit. The end is attached to the student and glider. This allows the student to be next to the winch operator (instructor).
With just a gentle pull from the scooter tow, the student is lifted off the ground. The student will experience small short flights and low altitudes in the beginning. From there, progressing to higher and longer flights with more experience.
Beginner Lesson includes Ground School, all necessary safety and flight equipment, usually 7-10 flight attempts, approximately 2-4 hours of instruction.(depending on size of class. ) Beginner flights are low altitude, 5-10', flights as you learn how to control a weight shift hang glider - $150
After your first lesson, you can continue with additional sessions and pay individually without making a large financial commitment.
As your skills progress throughout your lesson program the instructor will control your altitude. The scooter tow can help you achieve altitudes to 100 to 700 feet and more.
